WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Avecia Biologics Ltd – SAP Project Manager, Paul Found.

Paul Found was overall Project Manager of a major SAP implementation at Avecia Biologics Ltd – “one of the world's leading contract development and manufacturers of biologics“.
A requirement was identified on the Avecia team for a Project Manager to co-ordinate all aspects of barcoding within the WM module of SAP.  As Paul says “Colin was brought in on the strength of his logistics and ERP experience and quickly took control of an important part of the project.
“Initially, the remit involved intensive co-ordination of several third-party suppliers to get the infra-structure in place but as the project progressed we asked Colin to take more integrated responsibilities across WM.  This involved planning and provision of
training to end-users, process-mapping and co-ordination of stock data as part of cut-over.  In each of these areas, we were able to rely on Colin to deliver timely and thorough results with clear feedback on progress.  Since cut-over, there have been a number of enhancements identified for future development and we have extended our contract with Kyros to progress these along with post go-live support to our users”.

Allport Ltd – Branch Manager, Neil Scraggs.

Neil Scraggs is Branch Manager at the Manchester office of Allport Ltd., “The UK's leading independent freight forwarder”. Neil was conscious that his own skills in MS Office were limited and that he and his team could get more from the applications, more efficiently, by being aware of shortcuts and advanced functions. Neil had looked at various off-site courses but had been put off by the costs and need to commit to minimum candidate numbers; “I looked into Excel courses a year ago but the need to organise cover here, plus transport, meant that it remained on the back burner. When Colin came in, the fact that we were on-site meant that I was getting one-to-one training as well as being on-hand when necessary”.

Neil opted for an intensive day’s training with Kyros to help him personally, and also to gain knowledge of the more advanced functions of Excel for the benefit of his team. As Neil says: “Because the training is specific to my workload, there is that instant familiarity – I’m already saving time by using the shortcuts I’ve learned in both Outlook and Excel. I can navigate our regular reports much more quickly and highlight any exceptions straight away. Colin also had some good ideas on how some of our KPI’s could be presented. I’ve made some suggestions to our IT team about automating reports; functionality that I wasn’t aware of before”.

Neil has also found the notes from the session useful, “The notes I received were customized to me and therefore concise and relevant. This was a positive contrast to the large, generic booklets I’ve received in the past which, quite frankly, I’ve not felt inclined to wade through to get to the detail”. Generally, Neil found the training “effective and good value” and is planning to use Kyros again for similar sessions for his team.
